UltraScan crashes when I try to start it:
This can happen if the user has a previous setup installed in the home directory. To solve this problem, delete the files called ~/.usrc and ~/.uscolors from your home directory, UltraScan will recreate the files automatically the next time you start it. If the program still crashes when invoked as
"us"
try to run"us_config"
instead. This will force a new configuration to be written. If the program still crashes, there is something else wrong, submit a bug report. - UltraScan reports that it can't find libmysqlclient_...libqt-mt... or libqwt-...
This happens if the libraries for MySQL, Qt or QWT are not properly installed. Make sure that the libraries are installed, and that their installation location is included in the dynamic library link path, commonly configured in the $LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable.
- UltraScan reports a missing symbol:
This error is caused by a mismatch in the libraries. Make sure that the libraries installed in your system match the libraries UltraScan was linked and compiled against. If you are unsure, check the system requirements for the current version.
- The colors in UltraScan look funky, what can I do? This is most often caused by an old configuration file from a previous installation. To solve this problem, delete the file called ~/.uscolors from your home directory, UltraScan will recreate the files automatically the next time you start it. If you still don't like the colors, you can reconfigure the color set up to a custom color selection using the color configuration utility.
