Cell Data Record Entry:
Use this function to associate buffer, nucleotide, or peptide sequence
data with the experimental data for each channel of each cell of an
experimental run to be stored in the UltraScan database.
The function is opened by selecting a cell
information listbox entry in the experimental
data database entry form. Once opened, the form will inherit the
database ID keys for the investigator and centerpiece type. In this
module you will have to select a nucleotide and peptide sequence, as well
as a buffer definition for each channel of the cell. The selection has to
be made from entries that have been previously committed to the database.
After the selection is made, you can add the new cell entry to the database.
Note: This program will utilize the database backend of
UltraScan. This functionality allows you to save certain
files and data in a database, among them the nucleotide files analyzed
with this module. If the database system is not supported or available
on your system, you will get a warning message
when opening this module.
Explanation of fields and buttons:
|
Cell Table ID: The database ID/key for this cell entry
Investigator ID: The database ID/key for the investigator associated
with this dataset.
Centerpiece ID: The database ID/key of the centerpiece used in this cell
DNA DB for Channel: Click on this button to select a nucleotide database
entry to be associated with the sample in this channel (optional)
Buffer DB for Channel: Click on this button to select a buffer definition
file from the database to be associated with the sample in this channel (optional)
Peptide DB for Channel: Click on this button to select a peptide database
entry to be associated with the sample in this channel (optional)
Channel: This listbox displays the currently selected channel. If a
multi-channel centerpiece was used in this cell, you will have to make a selection for
each channel.

Help: Display this help file
Close: Close this database utility window and exit
Add DB Entry: Add the current cell information record to
the database. All channels need to be defined before the cell data is
committed to the database. If you did not associate any buffer, nucleotide or
peptide sequence file with your cell data, a warning
message will be shown. You should always define a buffer and either a
nucleotide or peptide sequence, or both.
Delete DB Entry: Delete the selected experimental data record from the database.
This function requires administrator privileges.
Reset: Reset the database browser window and clear all fields (will reset
selectable fields to "not selected")
Query DB Entry: Search the database for all database entries (this could
take a long time on a slow link)
|
|
Experiment ID: The database ID/key for the associated run.
Wavelength 1[2][3]: The wavelength(s) (in nm) used in the acquisition of data
for this experiment.
|
|
Cell Position: The position and rotor hole for this cell
# of Scans for WL 1[2][3]: The number of scans taken at each of the wavelengths 1-3
